5 Ways To Use Video In Your Social Media Strategy

In a space where we’re all fighting to get our clients’ name out there, it’s important to keep up with the trends - and currently, that trend is video. It’s one of those things that we just can’t avoid as social media marketers! But let’s be honest, it’s impossible to come up with video ideas on the fly - especially if you want it to become viral content (and who doesn’t want that?)

Luckily, these five basic types of video can easily be created for most industries - whether you’re an ecommerce company, a blogger or a marketing company (like us!)

Blog

Our number one favorite way to use video is by transforming our written blogs into a visual! The content is already there, so what’s stopping you from reusing the concept and creating a simple video out of it? And the best part? No filming necessary! Just create some graphics with text & stock photos. Easy!

Product Launches

What better way is there to launch a new product or service than with a promo video that shows it off? Think Apple iPhone commercials. Build a simple Lightroom to shoot in, grab a DSLR camera, and simply zoom in to different areas of your product. Stitch it all together with some music in the background and watch your conversions sore!

Sales/Promo

One of the best ways to promote a sale or a discount is through an eye-catching video to share on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (don’t forget to optimize for Instagram Stories too!). Again, this doesn’t have to require camera work - just an easy graphic.

Instructional Videos

We’ve all scrolled past the Tasty food videos - the ones we watch when we need a little dinner inspo. The concept of an instructional video that’s easy to follow is brilliant! We’re always on the lookout to learn new things, especially new recipes to cook up. Create an instructional video with something you’re comfortable talking about! Whether it’s how to create an Instagram Story, or maybe how to decorate your living room - we’re all good at something!
