Brand Experience Manager (Social Media Manager)

Location: Anywhere in North America - we all work remote!

Are you a social media rockstar, well versed in all the major platforms out there? Are you as creative as they come - able to visualize how a brand should look and feel in a digital experience? Are you able to measure your efforts to determine what's working and what's not... and then optimize? Are you able to take care of a client, ensuring they're impressed and satisfied with their social media efforts and agency experience? Are you a team player, eager to collaborate with others behind the scenes to get the best possible outcomes for your client? Are you a motivated self-starter, who thrives working with minimal supervision and appreciates a flexible work schedule?

Well, good. Because we are looking for a seasoned Brand Experience Manager to join our team to help meet the demands of our growing business!

We work with a myriad of different brands and industries ranging from e-commerce, outdoor adventure and apparel, publishing, cannabis, wine, events, B2B technology and various professional services. We love the variety - it keeps us on our toes!

 

Here’s what you would be doing...

  • Manage client brands, executing across all social media channels (platforms, programs and campaigns).

  • Maintain a positive client relationship to ensure a long-lasting agency-client relationship.

  • Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive social media marketing plan.

  • Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.

  • Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers.

  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).

  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. Report notable threats to appropriate management.

  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.

  • Conduct or oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.).

  • Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns.

  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.

  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of social media efforts overall in an effort to maximize results.

  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.

  • Implement ongoing education to remain highly effective.

  • Handle community management for clients.

  • Contribute to the progress of the business through special projects or “rocks”. (We run our business using the Entrepreneurial Operating System!)

 

You know you’re qualified if you...

  • Demonstrate creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Provide links to profiles you have managed as examples).

  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.

  • Exceptionally creative person with the ability to define a visual brand strategy, and execute by creating supporting content (graphic, video, written, etc.)

  • Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.

  • Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.

  • Are comfortable and confident with social media paid advertising.

  • Practice superior time management.

  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).

  • Make evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.

  • Demonstrate winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.

  • Possess great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.

Pay & Hours:

  • $20-30/hour based on proven abilities, experience and special skills.

  • Hours will fluctuate based on client roster and clients needs. This position will likely start at 15-20 hours per week and go up to 20-30 hours per week.

  • Clients will be assigned to BEM's based on experience, size, subject matter or relevant special skills. (We do know this BEM will get to work with 2-3 B2C e-commerce brands that we have cued up to get started!)

  • Client "pulse survey" feedback will be reviewed together in a one on one to find opportunities to improve.

  • This position is considered a freelance contractor, so the successful candidate will need to invoice Marr Media Group monthly for hours worked, and will be paid in full monthly. As a contractor, you’ll be responsible to claim this as income and file taxes.

Social Media Coordinator​

Location: Anywhere in North America - we all work remote! (Preference may be given to candidates based in Calgary and area, but this is not a deal breaker.) 

We are looking for an eager to learn and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our team! Our Social Media Coordinator will work directly with our Brand Experience Managers in all areas of social media management. This position will play an active support role in managing our clients social media accounts and supporting our business.

  • Conduct or support design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, design blogs, etc.).

  • Support in designing, creating and managing social ad campaigns.

  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of social media efforts overall in an effort to maximize results.

  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.

  • Implement ongoing education to remain highly effective.

  • Special projects as required.

  • Find opportunities to reshare other content, participate in conversations.

  • Ensure all questions, comments, and mentions are addressed and escalated as required.
