CONTENT CREATOR

Location: Anywhere in Canada - we all work remotely!

Terms: Contractor

Our Content Creator will work directly with our Account Managers in all areas of social media management. This position will play an active support role in managing our client's social media accounts.

Are you a social media rockstar, well-versed in all the major platforms out there? Are you as creative as they come - able to visualize how a brand should look and feel in a digital experience? Are you eager to learn and be proactive in your development? Are you a team player who loves collaborating with others behind the scenes? Are you a motivated self-starter who thrives working with minimal supervision and appreciates a flexible work schedule? 

Well, good, because we are looking for a seasoned Content Creator to join our team to help meet the demands of our growing business!

 

This position will be great if you...

  • Are a content creator with proven results and over 2-3 years of experience under your belt

  • Are fast-paced and efficient, able to ideate concepts and turn them into content in record time

We work with a myriad of different brands and industries ranging from e-commerce, outdoor adventure and apparel, beer/wine, events, and various professional services. We love the variety - it keeps us on our toes!

Here’s what you would be doing...

  • Assist in managing client brands, executing across all social media channels (platforms, programs, and campaigns)

  • Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers

  • Support in creating, curating, and scheduling published content (images, video and written)

  • Creating and managing social media contests

  • Researching relevant hashtags

  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts

  • Conduct or support design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, design blogs, etc.).

  • Support in designing, creating and managing social ad campaigns

  • Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of social media efforts overall in an effort to maximize results

  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy

  • Special projects as required

You know you’re qualified if you...

  • Are confident in your ability to write for different brands in a unique tone and voice

  • Demonstrate creativity and documented immersion in social media

  • Have Reels/TikTok experience and an overall understanding of social media video creation, publishing and curation

  • Have experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing

  • Are an exceptionally creative person with the ability to define a visual brand strategy and execute it by creating supporting content (graphic, video, written, etc.)

  • Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound

  • Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios

  • Practice superior time management

  • Have excellent communication skills 

  • Make evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly

  • Have knowledge of Meta ad management, including setting up, running and optimizing conversion campaigns, lead generation campaigns, etc.

  • Possess the great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues

Pay & Hours:

  • Pay range $25-$30

  • Hours will fluctuate based on the client roster and clients' needs. This position will likely start at 10-15 hours per week during your first month of training and could go up to 25-30 hours per week, depending on your performance, agency needs, and how eager you are.

  • As a contractor, you’ll be responsible for claiming this as income and filing taxes.

  • Yearly bonus awarded based on performance.

  • Commission pay is available for bringing in new clients.

  • Some travel may be required for team and client events.

Here’s what you would be doing…

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, hosting all client meetings and ensuring utmost responsiveness via all portals of communication

  • Develop and execute effective social media marketing strategies tailored to each client's unique needs

  • Coordinate content creation for your clients within a team of Content Creators provided by the Agency

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, and analytics, to ensure successful campaign execution

  • Cultivate and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner

  • Upsell different services to your clients as applicable 

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to drive innovation and deliver exceptional results

  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategies as needed

  • Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of social media efforts overall in an effort to maximize results

The Managing Director reports directly to the CEO and is a key strategic contributor to the company’s overall success. They manage and oversee the team of social media managers and are responsible for developing and empowering them to be top performers. They are responsible for implementing and managing successful operations that lead to above-average client satisfaction and retention.

Here’s what you would be doing...

  • Day-to-day management of the social media team

  • Manage client allocation and assign social media managers to clients appropriately 

  • Ensuring all work output from the Social Media team is to our agency's high standard of quality 

  • Support with formulating short and long-term creative goals and strategies for clients

  • Monitor and manage utilization within monthly recurring and one-time projects to maintain profitability 

  • Create and maintain internal workflows and processes for Social Media Manager team

  • Lead and empower the Social Media team to grow and access new learning opportunities

  • Lead and empower a team to deliver high-quality content and encourage out-of-the-box thinking

  • Complete performance evaluations for Social Media Manager team and give feedback when needed

  • Check in with clients routinely to temperature check, identify areas of opportunity for improvement and/or upsell and maintain a strong relationship

  • Responsible for maintaining our target NPS score

  • Onboard new clients, communicating closely with the leadership team about incoming sales and partnerships

  • Seamlessly manage transitions between clients and Social Media Managers

  • Anticipate the future direction of digital marketing using both research and own insight

  • Manage, evaluate and report on internal tools and platforms used

  • Authorizing expenses and making sure that the department sticks to the company’s budget (i.e. Social Tech)

  • Evaluate and ensure we are maintaining our agency standard of all monthly analytics reporting by the Social Media Manager team for clients

  • Keep the leadership team apprised of important updates from or about your team

  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the company through EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and quarterly objectives 

  • Manage the implementation and overall success of EOS within your department

  • Attend all weekly meetings as well as quarterly and yearly team on-sites

 

You know you’re qualified if you…

  • Have at least two years of proven experience in managing a team

  • Have experience in building and executing robust social media strategies and campaigns

  • Possess a degree in Communications and/or at least five years of experience in a communications-related field 

  • Have at least two years experience working in a client-facing role

  • Previous agency experience is an asset

Pay & Hours:

  • Full-time, but with a reasonably flexible schedule 

  • Pay range $75k-$85k

  • Yearly bonus awarded based on performance

  • Unlimited vacation 

  • Health benefits offered after three months of employment

  • Opportunities to participate in share ownership as we grow

  • Commission pay is offered for bringing in new business

  • Travel is required for team and client events (approximately six trips per year)
